Who doesn't love Cream Cheese?

This is such an easy dish to whip up, it took me less than 30 minutes. I have a whole section in my first Cookbook dedicated to Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. They are a staple in this house hold, and for good reason. With just a little TLC and some cream + sugar, the possibilities are endless.

What You Need

Cream Cheese Danish:

  • 1 pack of PILLSBURY CRESCENT ROLLS
  • 4 oz. CREAM CHEESE
  • 1/4 c. SUGAR
  • splash of LEMON JUICE
  • splash of VANILLA

Glaze:

  • 1 tbsp MELTED BUTTER
  • 2 tbsp BROWN SUGAR

Crumble:

  • 1 tbsp MELTED BUTTER
  • 1 tbsp BROWN SUGAR
  • 1 tbsp SUGAR
  • 1tbsp FLOUR

Drizzle:

  • 1/4 c. POWDERED SUGAR
  • splash of VANILLA
  • 2 tbsp MILK

How to make Cream Cheese Danish

  1. Preheat oven 350º
  2. Mix cream cheese, vanilla, lemon juice, + sugar until creamy. (room temp. cream cheese is best for a smooth and silky filling.)
  3. Mix melted butter + brown sugar for pastry glaze.
  4. Mix crumble ingredients together adding dry or wet ingredients as needed. I even like addending a pinch of cinnamon.
  5. Evenly cut Pillsbury dough into 8 slices.
  6. Press dough together as shaping into an oval or rectangle shape.
  7. With the back of a spoon create a divot for the cream cheese filling.
  8. Glaze dough.
  9. Add cream cheese filling.
  10. Top with crumble.
  11. Bake 13-15 minutes
  12. Mix powdered sugar and milk for the icing drizzle.
  13. Let cool for 10-15 minutes, then drizzle icing as desired.
